Chili's, Panera, others coming to Lancaster
LANCASTER - Five restaurants including Chili's Bar and Grill and Panera Bread are coming to the Lancaster Town Center, officials announced Monday. The retail center, on the corner of 10th Street West and Avenue K, is anchored by a Lowe's Home Improvement Center. In addition to Chili's and Panera, Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill, Farmer Boy's and Jamba Juice have committed to the location.

"This is another great day for the city of Lancaster and we are elated beyond belief," said Mayor Frank Roberts. Construction has begun on the first of the dining and shopping venues, and the entire center is expected to be completed in mid-2007. Joining the restaurants will be a 3 Day Blinds, CVS Drug Store, Verizon Wireless and Wells Fargo Financial, which are slated to open later this year.

Another arrival will be the Valley's first Winco Foods store. WinCo, which stands for Winning Company, offers a variety of groceries, fresh meat and produce, fresh baked goods, bulk and specialty foods. "These restaurants are the first of many national chains realizing the opportunities available in Lancaster," Roberts said. "We look forward to welcoming future development here at the Lancaster Town Center."

The new Chili's Bar and Grill will offer quality sit-down dining for families and friends meeting for an evening out. Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill will provide a variety of Baja-inspired food with fresh-made salsa, beans, guacamole and chips. Farmer Boy's, a Southern California chain, offers quick service of freshly prepared items ranging from burgers, sandwiches and salads to made-to-order breakfasts of omelets, pancakes and breakfast burritos. Panera Bread offers breads made from scratch daily as well as other bakery and menu items.
